Topic starter

2014 gmc acadia 3.6ltr v6. All electrical was good the I changed the waterpump which evolved removing fuse block from under the hood. Put everything back together not there no juice in any electrical components.  New battery. Fuses good. No sign of corrosion on connectors. Used a voltage meter and followed positive cable to the fire wall. 12.64v. Tested engine compartment with meter. No juice anyplace. Also replaced ignition hoping it would help. 😤

Would anyone happen to know where the Fusible link might be?? I can't locate it.

The fusible link is usually on the cable that connects the alternator to the battery. The link section is covered in extra insulation.

It only affects the alternator though. If the battery is good you would still get power with a bad fusible link.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help. I found the issue. I broke a wire coming from the fire wall. Just replaced it and everything is good. Thanks again guys!

Do you have power at the wiring harness connection under and (red) beside fuse box?

No. Everything under the hood is dead.

Also, I can get power to interior by jumping from the battery to the positive and ground connections under the hood. Not enough for an engine start though.

Fuses good.

did you check the main mega fuse?

Um, no? Where's that at? Sorry, never heard of it.

scratch that. You don't have one.

the positive ... what?

If you're bypassing the main cable from battery to fuse box and everything works, then obviously that's the part that's bad.
