I want to buy a used vehicle in United States or Canada.
I live in Albania(Europe) and here most of the cars that are imported are Mercedes Benz C Class W204 up to year 2012.
My budget is not big. I am looking for a cheap SUV or SEDAN.
WHAT IS YOUR SUGGESTION??

Will you be able cover shipping and importing costs? And then repairing costs if you import a money pit? Sedans are cheaper than SUVs.
My suggestion is if you go this route don’t buy a sedan from America we make crap cars haha. We like big and heavy so SUV you’ll generally get better quality overall. As much as I hate to say this I’d look at a early or mid 2000s GM suburban or something like that. GM built them better back in those days.

I know in Albania there isn't much variaty with cars. Why don't you look for a nice Toyota?
Most of the cars here are Mercedes and German cars overall like VW , Opel etc..and with that being said i think its easier to find parts also.

Mercedes are all money pits. European German made ones are better but as they age beyond 5 10 years old they fall apart and cost an arm and leg to maintain. If you could import a Toyota that would be ideal. If you have to get a Euro car maybe a VW diesel+manual car or Volvo would be decent.
I have a 2003 avantgarde mercedes c220 cdi which is running good but it needs a body paint.
i can still go with that for another year. i was thinking to upgrade to a c250 w204.

One thing is you're going to have access to vehicles in Europe that we don't even know about here in US/CAN. The c250 is a nice ride one our neighbor's son has one, gas/petrol version. The thing is diesel isn't as very popular in North America in cars like it is in Europe. So if you're looking for a c250 cdi you'll have better luck searching and finding it in Europe and UK. I watched the Top Gear Albania episode 4th one of the 16th season. Yeah, Merc's were all over the place in Albania, definitely a popular brand there.
Just get another European diesel or since you have experience with your CDI, get the C250 CDI, after a Mercedes mechanic checks it out thoroughly, before purchase. You don’t want to end up with a stolen vehicle.
