Hey Scotty,
I love your channel and have learned a lot from watching your videos over the last year. My wife and I took your advice and bought a 2020 Toyota Sienna LE (FWD and not a hybrid) earlier this year over a Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town and Country. The interior lights have a switch with 3 settings: Off, Door, and On. Obviously when we flip it to "on" all 3 rows light up. The problem is, when we flip it to "door" the front and middle row lights come on, but when we close the doors, only the front lights fade out like they are supposed to. The middle row lights don't go off. That leaves us with having to keep the switch flipped to "off" or the middle row lights will always stay on. It's pretty inconvenient at night time when we are getting in or out in the complete dark. I've tried pushing the buttons on the middle row lights, but it doesn't make any difference. Any idea what this could be or how to fix it? If it's a simple fix, I'd like to just take care of it myself, but I did buy the extended warranty that covers the electrical system if I would have to take it to a dealer. Much appreciated, and I look forward to all your videos.
yes that would definitely be a take it to the dealer for a warranty fix kind of thing. Otherwise you're welcome to pore over the electrical schematics yourself, but it's likely to be a control module issue.
Any admins reading this, I accidentally hit "post question twice, and it posted this questions twice. Didn't mean to break the rules, but I couldn't figure out how to delete one of them. If any of you are able to, I'd appreciate it. Love the channel.
got it
