Hello sir, I have a 2016 Audi Quattro 2.0T with 150k miles. Ever any issues with vehicle and well maintained. Two or three times a week I have issues when I press the start button. The vehicle will stutter and I place it in neutral and give it gas. After doing this for approx 3-5 seconds, the problem goes away. There is no common conditions that seem to create the issue such as, cold/warm weather, full tank/half tank/almost empty, level or sloped ground, or time of day. I have replaced the oxygen sensors, plugs and wires, air filter, and have ran three tanks of Lucas engine treatment/cleaner. I run with high octane fuel (super u leaded) etc. No check engine lights are ever present. I have taken it to the Audi dealer (way to expensive), but they cannot seem to find the issue at all. I noticed the vehicle started doing this around 70k miles. I would happen approx once a month. The vehicle is at 150k now and I notice it happening appropriately 2-3 times a week. I'm not a mechanic but have a basic knowledge and some common sense. I really wouldn't mind replacing whatever "could be the issue", but I don't even know where to begin. I hope to correct the issue because the car has ran fantastic with zero issues except this issue, which is frustrating. Any advice would help! Thank you much. ~ Chris ~
Realize that those are one of the highest breakdown vehicles out there with engines wearing out early. I would start by pulling the spark plugs and doing a wet and dry compression test of the engine because if it's in the engine everything else is a waste of time. It's just lat wearing out. Now. If the engine is solid then you have to start analyzing all the data from all the sensors to see if a sensor is bad or wiring or a computer. Realize Audis are extremely expensive to work on because of their proprietary software and need for very expensive tools that only work on Audis Porsches and Volkswagen. Good luck!
