I recently bought my first car it’s a 2010 Hyundai Elantra SEL with a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine and a 5 speed manual transmission the car has 112,000km on it, transmission shifts great and the engine has no problems, I paid $3000 (Canadian), my aux port doesn’t work unless you hold the cord up and button in the footwell to pop the trunk doesn’t work, did I make a good purchase and would I be able to fix the trunk myself or would I need to get it fixed by a mechanic?
The Elantras don't tend to hold up very well as they age. However, it all depends on how the car was treated and maintained. Having a manual definitely helps because you are not going to have to worry as much about transmission issues.
The trunk latch could be a self fix. I'm sure there are YouTube videos showing how to go about it. Probably the cable has snapped off a plastic piece on the release handle and you just have to replace the lever itself.
Best of luck!
Sounds like a good price. If it's in good condition, they can last quite a while.
You should be able to double the mileage (how do you say mileage in kilometers?)
