Is a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Hey I'm looking at a 1997 Nissan pathfinder with 120k kilometres on it with automatic transmission and 4wd. It says it was used as a daily and has no problems, the asking price is $1800 CAD from a private seller. Would this be a reliable car and are there any problems or anything I should look out for if I do check it out?

Very good SUV, … I owned one for 14 years. No problem.

Make sure the timing belt has been changed - they do go and destroy engines! Make sure that auto transmission cooler is disconnected and fluid has been changed, … plus all the other fluids. Oh, yes, there was a limited recall on exhaust manifolds - they do crack if not updated.

… and rust: Check front shock towers for soundness. Check the whole body. Most of them are rust buckets by now.

Best,

… one more item: … spark plug #6 - the one against the firewall: … make sure that it was changed together with the rest - matches the rest,… or that it is installed correctly, … or not cross threaded, or stripped. It’s a bear to access, most difficult to even thread it in by hand. Actually, factory tire changing toolkit does include a special socket and a handle, …specifically dedicated for that spark plug. It’s true, …
