I have the opportunity to buy a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab from a family friend. It is a Z71 4x4. It has the original 4-speed automatic transmission and 5.3L Vortec engine. It has about 150,000 miles, with slight front-right damage (which has been repaired), and no apparent mechanical problems. They want $5000. Is this a good buy for a daily driver, while doing some occasional light off-roading? Anything you have to say I would appreciate.
p.s.
How many miles do you think I can get out of it?

As a knock around truck, it could be ok but for daily driving/off roading I would say no.
It's a 20 year old truck. The wear and tear of daily driving or playing offroad will cause things to start breaking.
