I need a grocery shopper and a daily car for my spouse. We also need something other than our 2-door '12 Jeep Wrangler (this is a PRE Fiat make so don't go raggin on it). The dealership has it for $2999 but KBB says $2353. Is this '96 Nissan Quest 60,981k mi an all around reliable vehicle and worth the 2,000 bucks?!

No this car is almost 30 years old. With that amount of miles on it it means that its been sitting FOREVER and not being driven. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!!

Hm. Let me rephrase this. I'd like to know if a 1996 Nissan Quest is a mechanical nightmare to begin with and as it grows more mileage. I understand old cars with low mileage has been sitting around, collecting rot, rust, maybe a rat nest, dried up plastic tubing maybe... I mean what else happens to a car that has been stored away in a garage away from the elements?

No, pass. For a daily, I'd be looking at something 5 yr's old unless I wrenched on cars as a hobby.
