I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix gtp with 126000 miles on it. I bought a can of crc throttle body cleaner so i can clean my throttle body. On the can it says not to use the product on car with supercharger, and guess what mine is supercharged. I was going to remove the throttle body from the car so I could clean it good because there is a lot of carbon build up on the inside of the flap in the throttle body. I noticed this when I changed my air filter which is why I want to clean it. The can does not say to remove the throttle body but I want to get it as clean as I can which requires removal. Is it ok to do so?
remove it and clean it that's the best way
Pretty sure it's cause someone used it directly on their turbo or supercharger or some stupid like that so they had to put a warning label. I've seen people use brake cleaner on their Tb's when it's off the car with no worries. It's basically cause they don't want you to get the stuff into the supercharger for your car cause it will cause damage to it. If you take out the Tb and clean it you'll be fine.
