I have a 1979 Chevy k10 with a turbo 350 transmission, and when I first got it I noticed it was low on transmission fluid. When I first added fluid it was valvoline. Then I drained it when I changed the filter. I went to buy some more and accidentally bought a different brand. As long as they are both dexron 3, is it alright to add a different brand of fluid?

As long as they are the same type, you are fine. All the brands pretty much make them the same.
