I have a 2006 nissan sentra 1.8l
I have a minor power steering leak coming from the tie rod boot. I have to top it off every 3 or 4 days.
Should i just replace the whole steering rack or can i simply replace the seal? I'm not sure if the seal is the issue but I'm assuming so being as though it's a small leak.
Is it common for these steering racks to go out? I have 63k miles on it but it is 17 years old.
Thanks for any help

It's really not worth attempting to replace the seals because the racks themselves wear they have to be machined and then oversized seals put in. The only way to do it is to replace the entire assembly
