It seems that powershift has a lot of bad publicity regarding its unreliability, and this is reflected in used car prices. For example here in the UK, a Volvo V50 will go from 6k to 4k (equivalent mileage and age) because of the powershift. What is it really? why is it so bad? and is it something we can remediate with a bit of servicing and therefore get a car at a good price?
