Is the acura tlx v6 awd good, or should i go for the honda accord coupe v6 at

I was originally looking at the accord coupe, because im looking for a car that is relatively quick, very reliable and can last very long, and is sporty/stylish. and both the accord and the tlx do it for me. I originally wanted the accord until i found out i could get a used acura tlx awd of the same year for close to the same amount of money with maybe just a but more miles, and the fact it’s more luxurious and all wheel drive makes me want it over the accord (and the fact i figure it SHOULD be as or almost as reliable as the accord) however, i saw that it has some transmission problems for certain years, i was wondering if anyone could give me guidance as to if i could get a v6 awd tlx and have it last to like 150k miles and not have any major problems? or should i stick to the accord coupe and just deal with the front wheel drive?

the question is in the title

Please don't do that.

To answer your question,

  1. Pass on the Acura. The V6 has cylinder deactivation and it will not hold up over time.
  2. Change the PCV valve. If it still does it, then your engine is worn out.

isn’t there a way to turn off cylinder deactivation? and i thought the honda accord coupe had it as well

You'd have to retune the ECU which is not a do-it-yourself job.

oh okay cool thanks, last question, if i get the acura and get a trusted good mechanic i know to do an ecu tune up would it be good? i just heard from a friend that they have transmission issues and when i looked it up online it said it was only specific years
