- Hey scotty! I have a question for if I should buy a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis for $2,200. It has 101,400 miles, it has passed the emissions test, has a great running tranny and engine, the interior seems perfect and so does the exterior.
I didn't mean to submit it but does it have any common issues and we're mercurys still good in the 90s?

👍 👍 Sounds like a keeper.
But like Scotty recommends, have it checked out by a mechanic.
Maybe find a really old mechanic (like Scotty 😝) who likely worked on hundreds of those beasts.

Those cars can take mileage no problem and are super spacious. I love them personally.
If it passes a mechanic inspection, sounds like a good deal to me.
