Scotty was just wondering your take on this; purchase a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L hemi V8 automatic with 56xxx and with in two thousand miles at 58xxx the water pump went out, previous owner paid to fix the water pump but it was said because it’s been sitting for awhile and a new drive kinda threw the car off a bit....is this a red flag ? Did I make a bad purchase. No check engine light

Relative has one about that year.

He drives like a nut and wrecked it (at least) twice.

Gotta be nearing 200,000 miles on same engine and trans.

So, there's plenty of hope!

@carlos
Thank you Carlos. Very reinsuring

Its hardly broke in. Worse thing for any engine or vehicle is to sit and not be run. Good for 200,000 miles minimum.

Thank you, I was thinking the same. It was a older gentleman who barely drove it. So when I took over I pushed it a little but after the water pump change she seems fine again
