Distant place Nissan (they are nowhere near the Top 4 above)
Nissan is no longer owned by a Japanese company. It was called Datsun when it was owned by the Japanese. Renault, which is a French company, owns it now.
I have many friends that remember Nissans from the 90's and loved them. Not so much any more.
I had an early 1970s Datsun 510 that was a great little car and of course the 240Z was amazing back then. How the mighty have fallen. (The Renault name has been toxic in the U.S. for generations, so they sneak their products in as Nissans.)
I agree, now Mitsubishi is badge engineering Renault stuff, too.
