Jeep heater

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  My heater quit blowing air. Switches work and heat and ac can be felt but air is not being blown out. Do I need to replace the fan? And if so, is it a major job? 254,000 miles. Thanks

if all the speeds don't work, then yes replace blower motor. Might as well replace the low speed resistors too.

It's likely the resistor used to control the fan speed, but what usually burns those out is a worn fan motor drawing too much current. On a 17-year-old vehicle it's a good bet both will need to be replaced.
