Good morning Scotty,
I didnt think I'd have to submit a question for my jeep this early but here we are.
I got a 2019 jeep cherokee latitude plus 2.4 automatic with 149453 miles and I just got off the phone with the wife saying as she was maintaining a speed of 75 mph on the way to work, she claimed the car down shifted a gear and after noticing she immediately turned the hazards and moved to the shoulder.
Upon doing so, she saw the battery light turn on. However, as she started to re-gain speed again the light turned off. After reaching 70mph approximately 3 minutes into our conversation it happened again forcing her to move back into the shoulder with her hazards and the light turning back on.
Is this an issue with the battery itself? I don't remember ever checking if it has an auxiliary battery and/or is the transmission also having problems?
Thank you!
Well it's very easy to have a battery and alternator load tested. So have a mechanic or an auto parts store do that first. Pray it's a weak battery that's causing those problems. It could be the battery. It could be the alternator or it could even be a wiring part that is either loose like a loose battery terminal or a corroded connector
@scottykilmer thank you very much, had the missus frightened and myself a bit if anything bad had happened while on the highway. I will have my step father come with me and take her car and get it checked out. Have a happy 4th of July looking forward to your upcoming videos
