Mr Scotty, I have a 1987 jeep Wrangler, 4.2 with the AX15 trans. With the trans in neutral and the clutch released, it's acting like it's trying to move. The drive shaft is bouncing trying to turn. What do you think is causing this? I think an idler bearing under a gear is seizing to the main shaft. It also scratches 2-3, 3-4 and 4-5.

I pretty much agree with your diagnosis as a main shaft problem
