So I replaced my car battery and the ignition works, I can turn on the car and all the power options works.
When I turn the ignition off, my FOB doesnt unlock/lock, the switches on the door to unlock/lock doesnt work. my dash shows all my doors as open then they are closed. My Radio was reset, does required security to turn on. I even tried to swap my old battery back in to see if it did the trick, but it did not.
I did use the OBD2 Memory Saver to my portable battery, I think I didnt turn it on so the car memory wasnt saved.
My car is: 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring GLS.
Wow you might have to reset the whole system which may require a locksmith but try this disconnect the battery with the better disconnected for 5 minutes put your key in the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch on with the battery disconnected for 5 minutes then connect the battery and see what happens sometimes that can make it work and you won't need a locksmith or mechanic to reprogram it
Just wanted to say that I can manually open the door with the key, which was what I'am currently doing.
I will try your method when I have chance. Thanks for the quick reply.
