Has anybody out there ever heard of adding LA Awesome cleaner to your oil to clean the sludge out of an engine? Sounds risky to me. Thanks

I haven't heard of that one. I am with you though...sounds like a bit of a gamble.

Sludge prevents oil from proper lubrication of the engine and thus contributes to faster wear. If you just pour a cleaner inside and do not do anything else, the engine will have to perform millions of revolution before (if ever) cleaning takes effect. So I don't believe it helps.
