Scotty, I have a 2008 Lexus ES350 with 150k miles.
Two things, first it has a sealed transmission and I’ve seen in other of your videos that you need special equipment to change the transmission fluid on a sealed transmission.
While the transmission was cold I drained the transmission fluid out (Mine has two drain plugs) carefully measured what came out and replaced with the same amount. Did I do something wrong?
Second question is there is vibration from the from like unbalanced tires, I changed tires and rims to 16” instead of stock 17” for the snow and my car vibrated so much I couldn’t drive it, Other than basic stuff what could it be? Just changed both axels but it didn’t get better. Thanks
It is better to create separate question threads for your 2 questions to get more visibility and answers. Thank you.
Will you change the fluid correctly but it's for the tires I would never change the size of tires you're affecting all kinds of stuff I would only use the stock size tires because everything is set up for that
Ok Thanks Scotty! Great videos!
Bent rims? Are the 16" tires balanced? Are the 16" rims correctly seating on the hubs? Swap back to the stock 17" rims and see what happens.
Yes I swapped back to the 17”. It still does it but not as bad. This is something deep. Not an obvious fix. My next step is to put it on jack stands with the tires off and put it in drive and watch it for a minute
