Hey Scotty, looking at a Lexus GX460 with 68K mi on it to replace either my 2016 Subaru Forester(72K miles)or wifes 2017 Nissan Rogue(24Kmiles). Both have no problems, but I feel it’s a matter of time. Is the GX460 worth the $28K price tag( I know it will outlast both of those cars)
What year is it? They will outlast both vehicles if maintained. However, those GXs are thirsty vehicles and maintenance will cost a premium. If you’re okay with those, it can be a solid vehicle. Please make sure a trusty mechanic checks it out before purchase.
I would go 2016-2020 lexus rx350 because it doesn't even have much room inside of it. It is just off road capable and reliable. The rx350 is a better overall suv, gets better mpg, has more working room for maintneance so maintaining it is cheaper, and it gets only a couple horsepower less so it has more get up and go. The lexus gx460 is a great vehicle if you have a lot of money for maintaining such a complex machine(suspension, v8 engine, frame) and it gets only 15mpg and you HAVE to use 93 premium fuel on it.
