You did not state whether it's standard or automatic shift, though the term "gearbox" implies standard. In any event, the issues are covered in detail in the site FAQ.

Lexus is 250 2007 with 120k miles .. automatic gearbox.. gearbox oil never replaced.. can I do it now.. or is it to late and it will make things worse?

As has already been mentioned the issues are detailed in the site FAQ. We get these kind of questions constantly so the information is collected in a convenient place instead of having to keep repeating it over and over and over again. Check it out and let us know if you still have questions.

Thank you.

Yes. You r right..ust couldn't find anyone's opinion about the case like mine (120k or anything close ) .. only about much higher mileage..
Just looking for opinion frome someone with more knowledge who can me give advice.. what would he/she do in case like mine.

Regards
..

As it states in the FAQ you need to take stock of your fluid's condition to make the determination. Photos there show what to look for. In the end no one can tell you for certain what will happen but in general if the fluid is not burnt and/or gritty it is usually safe to change it. Also per Scotty, Toyota/Lexus transmissions are more forgiving than some others. If you do change fluid be sure to change the filter as well if that transmission has one.

Thank you very much.
