Looking to buy a 2007 lexus is250 automatic and all wheel drive. Seller wants $6800 and says engine light comes on periodically from an 02 sensor, afs light is on after he installed aftermarket headlights, leather seats are in bad condition and he’s only just told me there’s a belt squeal after we set up a time to meet. Is 6800 fair?
It is a little bit of a high price for normal times, but nowadays, they go for insane amounts and those is250's can go up to $20,000, so 6800 is on the lower end of prices. It does have some minor fixes like leather seats, but be sure to have a mechanic check it out because that is the only way you will know the actual condition of the car. Maybe 6k is what I would pay for one of those as it is the car I am looking at as a first car. The O2 sensors are typical for those vehicles so that isn't a terrible problem. Good luck on the car!
