Dear Scooty, I am wondering if you could help me with this, the dealership of Lexus Baton Rouge told me that I have a small leak in my timing cover in the back of the engine dripping some oil over the Iron Fender the car has in the bottom. She set me some pictures that I will share here if I can, but basically I was wondering If if it is dangerous in any way to pour a bottle of AT 205 inside the engine in the oil cap and try that first. I am skeptical about the rest of the engine to have any troubles if I do that, please let me know what are your thoughts. Car is always treated nicely and changed oil ever 5000 miles periodically. Lexus LS 460, 2013, 170K miles, super clean and took care of, 2 years owner, never a problem, just changed shocks and lower control arms.
Thank you so much!!!
Also I want to add that take it to a trusted independent mechanic for a second opinion. Dealerships are called stealerships for a reason.
@fjcruiser_2014 Thank you so much for your reply, we will do that with a mechanic that worked in Lexus before from Honduras in Nola and he has his own shop that a friend of mine who worked at Honda for 25 years will introduce me. Thank you for the advice, I did not do the job yet. By the way, I did the replacement of the front shocks and lower control arms and they did not fix the alignment, should they do it right? alignment in the passenger side front tire is -1.4 camber, that will eat my tire inside right?

It's not dangerous but of course it may not work.
@chucktobias Thank you so much for your reply, the car takes like 9 quarters, they say like 1 bottle is for 6 quarters of oil. If I pour one bottle I should be fine right? Thank you
You'd have to check with the AT-205 manufacturer for dosage information. If one bottle is supposed to treat 6 quarts of oil then it would take 1-1/2 bottles for 9 quarts.

Yeah if it needs an alignment then they should have done it too.
