After years of saving, I am taking the plunge into a Lexus. Looking at a 2018 Lexus NX 300 with 30k miles for $30k and a 2017 Lexus RX 350 with 47k miles for $29k. Is one SUV a better choice over the other? Be using it as a daily commuter for work around 50 miles round trip and during the summer, be taking 260 mile round trips every other weekend to the beach. Obviously I can test drive each SUV just did not know if I should focus on one over the other.
They're both good. Since you plan on driving a lot, I recommend you go for the RX. It has more interior space and the ride quality is better compared to the NX. Plus the RX 350 uses the tried and true V6, which is buttery smooth and still gives decent gas mileage.
Also too I guess I am looking for something with cargo space since traveling for vacation. I know the Lexus NX 300 has a very small cargo space. I have seen others compare it to a Mazda CX-5 and that has more cargo space. Do you think that could be a good choice too? It is less expensive too.
If you need the larger RX that might be the smarter choice but its basically the same price but has 50k miles so I would look for one that is less expensive or has less miles. The NX is also a good choice. Pick depending on which one fits your needs and you like best.
