2004 Lexus RX330 185K miles
Does Scotty have a video on changing the three spark plugs in the back of a 6 cylinder Lexus? I've scoured YouTube and found ones that show you can keep everything intact and change them, to taking everything off the back from the cowell down.
I didn't have enough confidence in those videos to try it. I'm afraid I will screw something up then my car won't run.
I want to learn to do it myself. I think it was Scotty who said some garages just say they replaced them and didn't because it is a pain.
Also, I'm wondering if it would be ethical to learn and practice at a pick&pull salvage yard.
I think you have to remove the plenum and throttle body.
Practicing at a junk yard is a fine idea if you are just seeing if you can get the plugs out without removing major parts like intake manifolds. Probably not ethical to dismantle an engine if you are not buying.
