While many auto manufacturers are abandoning the manual transmission, it seems Honda is making their next generation Civic Si and Type R manual only! What do you think of this decision?

They also need to offer the option to more of their line-up instead of diminishing it. Toyota as well....I would love to see a manual transmission in their Camry's
Glad to hear
Honda has learned about this from its motorcycle business. Honda has offered a succession of auto trans on motorcycles since the 1970s, and no doubt lost a fortune on them, as they have never sold in any appreciable numbers.
Plus manuals are an effective anti-theft device, as Millennials & Gen Z have no idea how to use them.
Amen!
Manual transmissions are superior in many ways to over engineered, overly complicate automatics. The exception is stop and go, city driving. If I can't buy a vehicle with a manual transmission, I won't buy any at all.
2 of the 3 vehicles we have are 6spd manual. If they offered a manual trans in full size trucks, I'd have one there too.
