Hi, I’m currently 20 years old work a decent job. I’m in the market to get a new car or crossover suv. The reason why I’m interested in a crossover suv is in the near future I have interest into electrical so I figured I should get a vehicle with a little more space. I’ve found interest into the Toyota CHR (no specific year) with its low used price tag and pretty good gas mileage. My question is to the reliability of these SUV’s and has there been any problems to note since their debut? I want to make the right purchase and hopefully enjoy this newish car without problems for awhile.
thanks, oh and happy thanksgiving! 🦃

You could go the route of a hatchback, since the prices of SUV's and crossovers have been, and will continue to be, inflated. Scotty has an '07 toyota matrix. I would avoid the 2.4L engine at all costs and go for the 1.8. Or if you can find a pontiac vibe with the 1.8 for cheaper you could do that too, they're basically the same car. If you would settle for a saloon or larger sedan, you can find ford fusions in the early 2010s for a decent price I'm sure, and try to find one with a V6 if possible, they're stronger engines. It's a matter of what you want
Your choices are simple depending on compact or mid-sized ones - Corolla, Camry, RAV4 and Highlander. Personally, I would not get the 8 speed transmission until 2022. Let's give Toyota 5 years to get the bugs out since their first release.
