Hi Scotty.

I'm a long time supporter of your channel and was after some advice.

I'm wanting to buy the new Toyota Camry 2025 SL 2.5L Hybrid, here in Australia directly from a dealership.

Is there anything I should o need to know regarding reliability, servicing or anything else? This will be my very first brand new car and I want to make sure I don't miss anything before signing my life away.

Thanks for your time to read and reply to my question.

Regards, John.

Well, I tested one out a few months ago and I was amazed by the gas mileage and the overall car. Realized Toyota's been making hybrid Camrys for almost 20 years. They've got them pretty much perfected

@scottykilmer thank you Scotty for your answer. The cost of running is a huge concern for me, as my current vehicle had just turned 18 and my average fuel consumption is 13-15mpg. I cannot justify the weekly fuel costs.

A lot of people noticed engine groaning / noise on low speeds.  Not sure what's that all about and if it's normal for 2025 Camry.

@jvin I heard that same complaint in a few review videos. I test drove one and I didn't notice it. I'm coming from an 18 year old car so the new car feels amazing.

Why not go with a non-hybrid version from the previous generation?  It should last longer than the hybrid.

I usually recommend avoiding first years of a new generation due to potential for more issues.

@daywalker I did look at the previous model, but I'd like to go with the hybrid system rather than straight petrol. I had one as a hire car for 3 days and I did just shy of 250km and it cost me $8 in fuel. My current car would have cost me about $65
