hello scotty ,

I have 2 main problems in my car Lexus 2004 es300
1st :Car acceleration is kind of low
2nd : Gasoline consumption is high

I tried :

- change the transmition oil

- change the sparks

- change the fuel bumper

- cleaning the fuel injectors

- cleaning the throttle

- cleaning air flow sensor

- cleaning oxygen sensor

-changed gasoline (91 to 95 ) lately

get some better but still the main problem

Notes : car engine runs quietly and I have oil change every 3000 - 4000 km (20w50)

any advise from master of the game that can get it better ?

Have you changed the fuel filter & pressure tested the fuel pump?

Wait a second, what oil spec does your car’s owner’s manual require you use?

I haven't changed the fuel filter or tested the fuel pump ..
and tell me pls where this fuel filter located

If I’m not mistaken, it’s located inside the fuel tank along with the fuel pump, in this model. https://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/58038-fuel-filter-location-2002-es-300/

thanks for ur support

book says use (20w50 - 15w40 - 10w30 - 5w30 )
is it ok to change to 10w30 after been using 20w50 for a while ?

and tell pls is it ok to clean the fuel filter only or do I have to change it and get a new one ?

If you’ve been using 20W50 for a long time, and the book says it’s okay, stick to it. Ideally it’s a good idea to get a new fuel filter.

If I may ask, does it get really hot where you live?

during summer 45+

Impressive!

Just out of curiosity, How did you clean the fuel injectors?

I would try 2 bottles of Chevron Techron and use nitro+ gas from Shell to clean the injectors.
