I lost my Camry the other day, totaled while parked, and there aren't any within my area that I can afford, but I found a 2008 Pontiac G6 with 47,000 miles on it. It is one owner and clean title. I live in Michigan, is this a smart buy? It has the 3.5L V6 with an automatic transmission.
It can be an ok buy just realize that that car has a limited life span but with such low miles, it still has some good life left in it. Make sure to have a mechanic check it out and make sure that it is not rusted out underneath on the frame. If everything checks out make sure that you get it cheap like 8K or under because they really have no resale value and aren't worth anything.
The G6 is one of those cars that falls apart as it ages. Definitely don't pay much for it and make sure it has a clean title. Also get a mechanic to inspect it prior to purchase and check for any frame rust.
