Hey Scotty would you recommend a Dodge Ram 1500 (1994-2008) with a 5.7 Hemi V8. I’m aware Chrysler makes garbage automatics but could it be a reliable truck with a standard manual transmission?

It will be much more reliable with a manual than with an automatic, that is for sure.

The Dodge has lots of electronic problems. Comparing to automatic transmission, the manual gives you a better reliability but I think you need to stay away from that one. I would consider F150 or Tundra instead.

The older Dodges were better although not great. A manual is a better choice. It could be an okay truck.
