- My car is a manual transmission 2016 Mazda6 with 72,504 miles. I am having my transmission oil changed. What is your opinion about a transmission flush verses just changing the fluid. I plan on keeping the car forever.

I don't think that matters much for a manual transmission. I would just do the drain and refill, at least you pay less.

- Yes, for about double the price.
That's a new one for me. Did they explain the difference with the flush?

Cleans any crud out of the casing.
I see. Any idea how they do that?

They said they have a 'machine'. Maybe I will have someone else do it. Have any recommendations on how it should be done? Just drain and fill?
yes, drain and fill is what has worked for 100 years.

Drain and fill. That's all you can do with a manual transmission. It's totally different than an automatic.
