Hey scotty I have a 2012 kia sorento sx v6 awd with 42k miles. I recently changed the engine filter. While I was doing so I removed the map sensor to give me more room. I used a oem filter. When I drove the car I was getting only about 10 mpg from a usual 18 mpg. The filter was properly installed and isn't clogged. I decided to try and unplug the map sensor and I started getting 30 mpg! But shifting was off. I plug it back in and mpg goes way down. Is it possible that I damaged the map? Is this a common symptom of a bad map? Thanks in advance.
Replace the map sensor with OEM sensor
