Hello,
I have a Mazda CX 7 2010 car it has 121000 miles on it but recently i had noticed gear slipped at above 70 miles per hour speed and 2 days ago gear didn't shifted properly when accelerated suddenly but few days its good no issues so far.
I had taken the car to Mazda dealer he says no problem all codes are good.
I am worried if the issue is big or anything gonna cost me huge.
Can you please give me advise?.
Thanks,
Chad
When is the last time the transmission was serviced?
Checking for codes should just be the beginning of diagnosis. Live transmission data needs to be recorded and analyzed for problems.
dealer said i has no problem i never changed transmission fluid can i change now?
but mazda manuals transmission fluids are sealed for life

That's nonsense. There is no such thing as "sealed for life" or "lifetime fluid". If the fluid has not been changed in 14 years and 121,000 miles it's pretty likely the transmission is dying. (As far as the dealer and manufacturer are concerned the only "lifetime" they care about is the warranty period.) Fluid should have been changed at least once, maybe twice by now.
See the FAQ for detailed information on transmission fluid change issues. (In short, changing fluid at this point may make matters worse.)

if your manual transmission is slipping then something is wrong with the clutch. Yes, you should change the fluid.
