I've got a automatic 2006 mazda6 v6 sedan, old owner said it has a lifter tick, I gave it a new oil change drove it a little drove it again to the store and when I went to start the car it would crank but not start and act like it wanted to everytime I tried, I bought 6 spark plugs and replaced 3 and planned on installing the rest at home in Hope's it would help maybe get it to start, nope continued to crank and did a gas double tap and 3rd tap and then turn key over and it sounded like it wanted to start I can hear it wanting to start at times. I even tried spraying some starting fluid and that didnt start it.  It says they wont start if you have a dead battery key fob I do but its started before with the key fob dead but Idk what's wrong with it. OBD11 CODE P0011 and P0431.

You should address that P0011 code.

P0011: “A” Camshaft Position – Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)

Possible causes of OBD code P0011 Mazda:

A P0011 Mazda DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:

Incorrect camshaft timing

Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system

Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber

Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

Hard to say. 431 is a cat code. A clogged converter can cause this behavior. You can drill two small holes in the pipe in front the converter see if it starts. Easy to plug with a sheet metal screw later if it isn’t the cat. Throttle body/Mass air flow sensor, clean those. Pickup spray for them at auto store. Check air filter. If you have a schrader valve on your fuel rail test that make sure you have fuel pressure. Follow up with information as ya go for further help. Good luck!

Also make sure you used the correct oil when you changed it. Heavier oil messes with VVT and cause a P0011 code
