Mr. Kilmer, I have a 2010 Toyota rav4 2.5l engine with 120,000 miles. I like it a lot. It's peppy as ever and runs great. I have watched a few of your videos and listened very carefully to what was said and learned. The question I have is. Would it be wise to try towing a 1000 pound camper with it? Or would I be better off trading up to a Chevrolet Express full size van? You're advice will be gratefully appreciated.
Do you have a tow hitch attached to the back of your car? If you do, you could. If you do exchange it for the Chevy express, you'd be getting worse gas mileage.
Not yet, still thinking about getting one depending on the answers I get. And you're right about the van getting worse gas mileage. But will have a greater towing capacity.
