Hey Scotty!
I bought a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT quad cab 5.7 hemi roughly four months ago. It’s got 270k kilomètres or ~167k miles. Unfortunately now whenever I push the brake or don’t push the gas pedal I hear a rattling noise. What are the chances it’s something minor?

Slim to none. I suspect your hydraulic lifters have failed and have eaten away your cam shaft. Pretty common in these Hemis.

It rattles when the vehicle is stopped?
No, just braking and idle while moving
Well, hope it's a Universal joint or just something else worn. If it's in the engine like Doc mentioned it will not be a minor repair.
