What is this and why is it there?
I can't find any place for it to connect to. It looks like it goes to an A/F sensor, but the two that are closest already seem to be connected. bank 2, sensor 1 for sure because it's easy to see and bank 1, sensor 1 mostly sure after using a cell phone camera to see down back there.
it looks exactly like an oxygen sensor connector
It could be a test connector so a technician can connect a tachometer. Just guessing.

I asked the Toyota website what it was and they just sent me a link to sign up for their "Technical Information System (TIS)" and also suggested taking it to a Toyota dealer. I suppose the mystery will never be solved for sure unless I pay big bux.
Well, poo, I drove all the way to TN and forgot to ask Scotty what this mysterious connector is in person. The mystery shall forever remain mysterious! {black}:scared:
