Hello Mr. Kilmer
good morning. I am purchasing a new car choosing between Mazda CX-5 vs Toyota Corolla cross vs Rava 4 all 2024. Which one will be more reliable?
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello Scott
good morning. Thank you for your prompt response. I have another question about Mazda CX-5 2024 I’m deciding between turbo and non-turbo model. Do you think the turbo is greater difference in maintenance price over long run? I would like the extra power but don’t want the headaches of higher maintenance bills with a shorter life span of vehicle.
thanks

Scotty doesn't answer questions more than once. I would go with a naturally aspirated engine and not a turbocharger if you want the vehicle to last. Adding a turbocharger adds complexity and it will inevitably break down sooner. Replacing a turbocharger costs $1500+ just for the part, plus, those vehicles have Gasoline Direct Injection, fuel doesn't flow over the intake valves with this system, leading to carbon buildup. Ordinary port fuel injection doesn't have this problem because fuel flows over the intake valves. Toyota is addressing this problem with their GDI powered cars by re-introducing port fuel injection as well as GDI, but increased complexity means it's more likely to break down.
I would say RAV4 because it has an actual nine-speed transmission on it

IMHO, get naturally aspirated cars while you can. They all appear to be moving to turbo.
