Do you guys think buying a Honda element with 190,000 miles is a good idea? I’m in between yes and no or just wait to find one with a little less miles

Keep looking.

What year is it, and what's the asking price? That's a lot miles; I would pass on it unless it's $500 or less.

It’s a 2004 awd price 3600 1 owner

I wouldn't pay that much for such a high mileage car. What type of car do you need and what's your budget? This way people can give you specific suggestions.

I have a friend who found a needle in a haystack Element, with less than 100K miles.

Elements have a little cult following. The following isn’t huge enough where the prices are outrageous, but big enough to command a slightly higher price than other makes and models of the same era.

The Element is basically a second generation CRV underneath. And it also comes with a K-Series engine, one of Honda’s best.

It’s a 20 year old car. So while it is a Honda with a relatively reliable engine, it is bound to have 20 year old car problems. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but know that going in.

With the Element specifically, I teeter on the yes side if it checks out. Almost any other make is a solid no.
