Hello everyone,
I replaced a brand new power steering pump on my Honda two months ago. But it makes a whining noise every now and then specially when you start the car in the morning.but the the wheel turn smooth.
Do you think flushing the power steering fluid may resolve the issue?
what do you think is the problem ?
is it true that bleeding the system should be accompanied by a vacuum pump for best results?

Did you fill in new power steering fluid when you installed the new pump?
Assuming you got a brand new pump (not a refurbished one), ask for a warranty replacement.

When I did this, I jacked up the front of the car, started the engine and turned the wheels full left and right several time then topped up the reservoir.
