New truck

In your opinion, which would be the smarter buy. 2016 thru 2020 toyota tundra  or ford f150. I tow a loaded dump trailer on consistant basis but for short duration, maybe 20 to 40 miles. I need 4 wheel drive to get the trailer in some remote areas of dirt and gravel. I have a 2007 tundra and like it but it has 158000 miles and the engine has had a knocking noise that toyota said was normal. Looking to get new truck. Thanks for any info you can give.

What are the prices of both? If Ford is cheaper, take that if you plan to have it for such mileage.

I'd go Tundra. Especially since you have had good luck with your current one.

Tundra, but the engines get noisy. My dad tows 2000 to 8000 lbs of oil well stuff all the time, but in the fields they bounce a lot.
