Thought Scotty could talk about this. A guy on Reddit bought a brand new 2025 CR-V hybrid and the gaps on the rear tailgate are different left vs right and dealer refuses to fix:

Pretty common everyday occurrence if you ask me. On a new GM I would be very surprised to see gaps that WERE perfectly aligned. We already know dealers will do anything to weasel out of spending money. Plus a dealer shop is not exactly set up to fix big manufacturing defects like crooked hinges.
This particular car doesn't even look that bad to me, but these are things that should be sorted out before buying. Pick a nice car at the lot, and then live with the little blemishes (as long as they don't affect function). It's just a car.
