Have 1998 Chevy Suburban 4 x 4 with 200k miles. Have new battery that verified excellent. Have no power anywhere, not even dome light. Started fairly good then later nothing.

Check power distribution from positive cable? Maybe a fuse blown in power distribution area? I don't remember if they used fusible links in those days, but that could cause issues too.
Check the battery cables for corrosion. If the connection is good check the main fuse in the fuse panel. If a battery is accidentally installed improperly sometimes the improper install can blow the main fuse and several others (like installing the + cable to the negative battery terminal). Give the basic electrical system a good once over and post back here
Check the fuzes and if its not that someone must have crossed the battery terminal cords meaning you need a whole new electrical system in your car ECU and all.
When you check the cables, look for corrosion as previously advised, but on the negative cable make sure to check not only at the battery terminal but anywhere it bolts to the car or engine. You might also use a test light, looks like an ice pick with a wire coming out of it. Put the wire part on the ground areas to see if it lights up when you stick the pointy end to the positive battery terminal. Should light up, but if it doesn't it could be corrosion or even a bad cable.
