Hey Scotty, i’m 23 and I live up north. I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 218,000 miles on it, still runs well and I snow plow in the winter time with it and I tow a trailer on it with mowers and landscaping equipment during the summer, any tips on how to maintain it and keep it running good ? Obviously I know sometime it’s going to break. Thanks
Wash it a lot, try to keep the salt off it. Those things will rust away.
Take it easy when you're towing, and when driving in general.
Change the oil every 4-5K or so, and check all the fluids when you do it.
Those things can last quite a while, good luck!
Maintenance every 5k, keep the salt rinsed off it, that's about it. Sure it is simple, but maintenance is key with all machines, cars and trucks included.
