PLEASE HELP!
Hello, my name is Carlos. I have a 2016 Infiniti Q50 red sport. It has leather interior standard(I think lol) and to try to make a very long and dragged out story short, I got involved with a mechanic that was supposed to fix my blown engine and he ended up not only never fixing it but stole some parts including my catalytic converters. The car was brought to a different mechanic that replaced the motor but in the process somehow a crapload of gas leaked into the cabin of my car. They said something about my fuel pump missing a piece or something. They had to tear out my back seat and showed me there’s these two “large disc-like things underneath that he said the gas came up from. My car got soaked and now weeks later absolutely reeks of gas the second you open it. They left the car to air out for hours at a time during the period it was in for service but it still reeks. My questions are as follows:
1) Is there any way to get this smell out of my car after all this time passed? It’s been about 2 weeks.
2) Even more importantly is there any way to remove the now dried up gas completely from the car or is it a pretty much a bomb on wheels now?
I tried googling and got a range of different solutions but none of them really say if anything can completely neutralize a spill this big of gas into a car. I watch your videos all the time and I find you to be very knowledgeable Scotty so I’m praying you have the answer for me!
If I were you, I'd pay a professional cleaner to do that job. They're going to need super strong vacuums ultrasonic cleaners and probably solving she wouldn't want to mess with that will eventually evaporate but they're deadly while they're being used. So let somebody else clean it. Ask anybody shop who they use to clean up messed up cars after wrecks
Ok thank you!
