Hi Scotty I just made a crazy purchase I got myself a 1990 Buick Riviera with 233,500 miles on it for $2000 in this crazy market I don't drive it very far and it drives pretty well may need a new tranny soon which are common in those models if you don't change the fluid in those cars every 30,000 miles since there weaker transmissions but I'm willing to do it because I love my car and it's on the original one I'm a huge Buick fan I'm going to try to set a record with it on miles but I have a check engine light that came with the car and I want to find out where I can get a good cheap OBD 1 scanner and can I get it from a parts store locally or any good links to get any thanks

The thing is that even if you can find something that can read OBDI for your car, unlike OBDII, the information is very limited. You can find the code using the paperclip method and search on the internet for that code.
